MOTRIL’S mayor Luisa Maria Garcia Chamorro pledged that the future Local Police station would symbolise the town’s Public Works.
The mayor, town hall officials and Local Police officers were present as the plans were signed off at the site of the new building on the Ronda Sur, adjoining the Social Security offices.
The town would have a Local Police building that was worthy of its officers and 21st-century Motril, Garcia Chamorro declared.
“In 22 months’ time the police will have a building that answers their needs,” she added.
“Not only do we owe them this, but it underlines their exceptional work throughout the confinement period during the State of Alarm.
“Nor should we forget that reactivating municipal projects is another local government initiative that directly affects economic activity at this particular moment,” the mayor said.
