GUARDIA CIVIL have arrested a couple of suspects for brutally beating two people with iron bars in Nijar.
A call to the emergency services raised the alarm about a fight in a property in the San Isidro area.
When the Guardia patrols arrived they found two people covered in blood and with what looked like serious injuries to their heads and possible broken bones. They claimed they had been set upon by two attackers.
Descriptions provided by the victims led to 27-year-old BSL and 36-year-old SCA, both locals. The Guardia reported that when they caught up with the pair there were clear signs they had both been in a fight, both having scratches and blood on their clothing. Officers also found an iron bar with traces of blood at the entrance to one of the suspect’s homes.
Both men face charges for inflicting serious bodily harm.
