THE culprit is a 23-year-old of Paraguayan nationality who has been arrested after engaging in a heated argument with his 25-year-old roommate and trying to throw her off the balcony of a building in the Carabanche district in the capital.
The incident occurred yesterday on Thursday, May 21, at around 4.45pm. According to police sources they are investigating the heated and strong argument the pair had in their flat on Calle Algaba.
The neighbours of the building were the ones who notified the police of the violent incident because they heard the woman step out onto the balcony and cry for help.
At one point the man lifted the woman from the floor and tried to throw her onto the ground.
Then the third flatmate at the property got involved and was the one to stop it. Shortly after the National Police arrived and arrested the aggressor for attempted homicide.
The victim, who is not romantically involved with this man, suffered minor injuries.
