Spain-Costa del Sol : What are YOU doing today in Phase 3 of the Lockdown?

Bars, Beaches, Shops and Restaurants all expect to be Full today as Residents of Spain’s Costa del Sol awake to Phase 3 of the Lockdown.

THE traffic was already building up this morning on the main coast road from Malaga to Marbella as the wheels of industry slowly turned back into action on the first day of Phase 3 for the region of Andalucia.

Travel restrictions across the region have now been lifted and time slots for outdoor exercise have been removed and gatherings are now permitted with up to 20 people in the group.

Bars, cafeterias, and restaurants receive a much-needed boost as their interiors can now reach 50 per cent capacity, bar service is allowed at two-metre intervals, and terraces will be allowed 75 per cent of their total capacity.

Expect Plaza Mayor in Malaga, Miramar Centre in Fuengirola and La Cañada shopping centre in Marbella to be busy as now they can hold 50 per cent of their capacity, now there will be more space to sit, have a coffee and chat with friends as communal area space increases to 40 per cent.

Today you could go to the museum, library, theatre or cinema to catch a film, where 50 per cent capacity is now allowed, home working is still encouraged where possible. A family day out at the beach is also an alternative and the Blue Flags are flying today so why not?

In summary, it’s going to be a great day today, appreciate what we have back now, support your local businesses and remember to wear your masks, but, most of all, Take Care! TW.
