THE Benalmadena Council is working with a number of different social groups in order to provide supplies of cooked food to about 250 people in need in the municipality.

The actual cost of the food, preparation and distribution of the meals is met by Acción Directa using cooking and storage facilities made available by the Benalmadena Council.

Mayor Victor Navas and the councillor for Social Welfare, Alicia Laddaga visited the Municipal Auditorium to see the work being done and noted the involvement of charities such as Assis and Caritas.

Officers of the Local Police have also assisted in this venture and the mayor is encouraging residents to assist by visiting the special site https://www.gofundme.com/f/kq9x5-objetivo-1000-raciones-parabenalmadena/donate.
