100,000 free flight tickets have been dished out to Covid-19 health workers

SPANISH health workers who won one of the 100,000 flight tickets that were up for grabs from Iberia, Vueling and the airport operator Aena can start booking their trips.

Nurses, doctors and health care workers could apply for one of 50,000 pairs of tickets being given away by the airline operators and authorities in a generous gift for their amazing work during the coronavirus pandemic.

Spanish airline Iberia announced today that bookings were open and the lucky ticket holders from hospitals, health centres and nursing homes had until July 15 to book through the Iberia or Vueling websites.

Iberia revealed that 45 per cent of the tickets had been dished out to Covid-19 nursing staff, 21 per cent to doctors and 15 per cent to other health workers like paramedics, cleaners, caretakers and porters, 14 per cent are nursing assistants and 5 per cent work in residences.
