Pruning on the beach Credit: Manilva Council
THE Manilva Council is very aware that palm trees whilst being attractive can also be a nuisance, dropping seeds and often attacked by bugs.
On the seafront of Sabinillas there are some 325 trees all of which are now being pruned and treated by special ‘arbolistas’ to ensure that the area continues to be attractive to visitors.
Work on trees in other parts of the municipality will continue and there may be some temporary road closures or diversions.
