LA CALA: Beach will have a second access, credit: Finestrat town hall
A SECOND entrance has been added to the La Cala de Finestrat beach. Finestrat mayor Juan Francisco Perez announced that the town hall’s Contingency Plan, created to ensure an orderly opening of the beach last month, set a 9am-9pm timetable and calculated a maximum capacity of 1,000 people. “The plan must be strictly complied with but at the same time it is not unchanging. We shall adapt as the situation evolves depending on government directives as well as input from local business-owners,” Perez said. “We began with one entrance to the beach but after listening to their requests we have opened another access at the Plaza del Anfora to prevent a build-up of members of the public,” the mayor continued. “This will also help the sector facing the beach during an especially atypical tourist season.”
