U3A Marina Baixa gives grateful thanks to their secretary Joan Flint after 10 years of superb hard work

JOAN FLINT recently celebrated 10 years as secretary of the U3A Marina Baixa.

During Joan’s leadership, the U3A saw many changes including several different venues owing to increased membership as well as alterations to the U3A Constitution.

Joan handled them superbly and as well as her secretarial duties, she has also run the Spanish Language Group for the last 11 years.

Apart from her secretarial expertise, Joan, assisted by her husband Bill, is a brilliant hostess and has held many events in the garden for U3A Marina Baixa members.

Joan has also organised Ye Old Tea Shop for the Alfaz and La Nucia International Days on many occasions.

“After 10 years of fantastic service to the U3A Marina Baixa, and on behalf of all members, thank you Joan for all you have done,” committee members said.
