Defiant French Fisherman Fuming over Brexit Row – ‘We are coming – you better warn your police!’

French fishermen are angry, in fact furious, over the latest in a series of negotiations over fishing rights as part of a pending Brexit deal.

THEY are so furious they have sent a message to the UK saying: ‘We are coming – you better warn your police!’ as they fully intend to carry on and fish in their old areas around Britain as they have done so for years, deal or not!

French fishermen say they will battle to fish in the UK regardless of any agreement struck between Brussels and London during the Brexit negotiations.

A french Lobster seller, Emilie, told a source: “Knowing our fishermen they better warn the police over there, they will go out fishing regardless, they won’t get killed off.

“Already, here in France, we are under huge restrictions on fishing, which doesn’t apply to other European countries.

“We can’t fish certain species and others can, we can’t sell crab claws, but you go over to Holland and they can sell them. What does that mean? Why do the French have more restrictions than others?

“It is as if the French fishing industry is being allowed to die out, but the foreign industry is allowed to survive? That is not normal.”

Tense negotiations are in progress with the EU over fishing rights, but as yet, both sides have failed to come with a suitably agreeable deal. UK PM Boris Johnson has made it clear that he intends to get the best deal for British fishermen.
