Back to match fishing on the Costa Blanca after four dry months

Carp-R-Us Costa Blanca finally got back to match fishing after a break of nearly four months by holding their Summer Cup match at El Bosquet.

THE Club’s Steve Fell said “fortunately the weather on the day of the match was a good five degrees cooler than the day before, which made for a more comfortable match”.

The angling and social club has drawn up a protocol, based on current social distancing rules, for both the draw and weight-in and “this all went smoothly”.

Dave Hill ran out a clear winner from peg 26 with 18.85kg, second was Alan Priest with 15.90kg from peg 19 with Dave Sutton (15.50kg from peg 17) just pipping Steve Fell (15.45kg from peg 23) for third.
