THE Guardia Civil have apprehended a Moroccan man who stabbed another man in a bar in La Cala de Mijas at around 11.0 today who then threatened the Local Police with a firearm.
A man with a stab wound was found lying on the floor at the door of a bar in Cala de Mijas just after lunchtime today. According to a local source, a young man had stabbed a man and then fled from the scene, residents looked on with fear as an ambulance was called and blood could be seen spurting from the victim’s wounds.
A swarm of Local Police eventually traced the attacker to an apartment where they were greeted by serious threats with a gun.
The Guardia Civil dashed to the scene and managed to arrest the alleged attacker, a young man of Moroccan origin, who had barricaded himself at his home. He is now under arrest and has been taken to a Local Police station for questioning, charges are expected to made today and a court appearance is likely soon.
