Costa Blanca’s Aspe reopens pool and gym with restrictions and by appointment only

Costa Blanca’s Aspe is reopening its pool and gym with restrictions and by appointment only.

THE Sports Department of Aspe Town Hall is opening the Tomás Martínez Urios swimming pool and gymnasium on Monday, July 6, with 33 per cent capacity.

Users will have to comply with established hygiene protocols, such as temperature checks, mask wearing, cleaning shoes on entry and hand washing.

Those attending the gym must carry two towels and social distancing must be respected.

While swimming can only be done by prior reservation, the council has adapted the gym to accommodate more users and so an appointment isn’t necessary, though a maximum of 75 people will be allowed in at the same time.

The facilities will be open Monday to Friday, from 7am to 11pm, Saturdays from 9am to 9pm and Sundays from 9am to 2pm.

There will be no group classes until September, and the council has advised anybody who paid for membership or vouchers prior to the pandemic to contact the pool’s customer service department.
