Flamenco star Juan Pinilla performs at the El Majuelo Park auditorium in Almuñecar in Spain's Axarquia region

THE flamenco singer, Juan Pinilla, presents his latest album ‘Humana Raíz,’ which is his fifth album, on Saturday at the El Majuelo Park auditorium. Pinilla will be in charge of opening the great musical concerts that will host the open-air auditorium, conditioned with the pertinent sanitary measures to fight Coronavirus.

The record work ‘Humana Raíz’ is composed by lyrics by Juan Pinilla himself and will be accompanied on stage by guitars, David Caro and Antonio de Luz, guitars, Javier Rabadán, percussion and the special collaboration of bailaora Anabel Brown. Juan Pinilla, a well-known and beloved singer in Almuñécar and La Herradura where he has coordinated the Manuel ‘El Ruso’ Memorial, has been distinguished, among others, with the Mining Lamp of the La Unión Mine Festival (2007, considered one of the awards most important in flamenco and dedicated to workers victims of workplace accidents); nominated for a Latin Grammy in the USA, (2014); Favorite Son of the Province of Granada (2016); Prize for Art and Creation of the Andalucian Government; FAC Journalism and Communication Award in Barcelona, ​​along with more than 20 First National Awards in flamenco singing competitions. His polyglot training leads him to collaborate in several languages. He has performed in countries such as Japan, the USA, Mexico, Chile, Egypt, Germany, England, Italy, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Iran, Sudan, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Cuba, Iraq, among others.
