MORE than 850 people have signed a petition asking that the Benalmadena Council should take action to create a dog friendly beach for residents and visitors.
The organiser of the petition has revealed that following a meeting with the local Delegate for Beaches, she has been told that this matter is certainly due for serious consideration.
The Benalcan dog beach was originally due to open on June 1 but this was postponed because of the need to ensure that it could meet all post pandemic hygiene requirements and reportedly due to objections from a nearby holiday resort.
Despite all of this, dog owners can expect positive news in the not too distant future.
