PARAMEDICS in PPE attire attending a recent incident in Duanes de la Mar triggered rumours of a suspected Covid-19 case. They were called out when a man involved in a traffic accident complained of respiratory problems and chest pains but onlookers, adding two-and-two together, made five. Social media pages were soon passing on messages about a local Covid-19 case which were later refuted by the authorities, according to the local Spanish media. The victim had tested negative for the coronavirus, their sources revealed, explaining that paramedics must now wear full PPE when attending an accident scene.
