LA NUCIA resident Natalie Baker is currently in Madrid, training with Spain’s junior Synchronised Swimming Team. The 13-year-old belongs to the La Nucia Club Sincronizada, whose principal trainer is Antia Arias, and this is the first time one of their swimmers has taken part in a training meeting at national level. Natalie was selected to attend last March, after she was included in the 12 best swimmers in the 21st edition of the Junior and Children’s Artistic Swimming Championships that was held in Castellon shortly before the State of Alarm was announced. Natalie is now training in Buitrago de Lozoya (Madrid) with 11 other synchronised swimmers from all over Spain but must wait until the start of the next season for confirmation that she will be taking part in the Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships.
