Lockdown restrictions are to be reimposed on the Aberdeen area after 54 new cases emerged in a coronavirus cluster, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said.
Aberdeen City has been placed back into lockdown after a spike in Covid cases, the outbreak has been linked to The Hawthorn Bar in the city’s Holburn Street.
Hospitality venues – including pubs, cafes and restaurants – have been ordered to close. Hotel restaurants can remain open, but to provide food for residents only. The restrictions will come into force at 5pm today.
