In a show of great support, an aid plan is set to be launched by the Torrevieja City Council to help those suffering from the economic impact of Covid-19.

THE financial boost totals €211,924 and is being made available by the Alicante Provincial Council, with aid being set to a maximum of €2,000 per applicant.

The Councillor for Development, Employment and Local Development of the Torrevieja City Council, Domingo Paredes, has announced that during the last week of August, the application period for subsidies will be published and opened for self-employed workers and small companies.

In what is positive news for those involved, the subsidies proposed by the City Council intend to mitigate the economic impact of Covid-19 by promoting economic activity in the municipality, helping to facilitate the fulfillment of their obligations and maintenance of business activity and employment.

This money is seen as a protective, and replenishing, measure for those most affected by the rules and regulations adopted to fight the pandemic.

The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 business days from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP).

Domingo Paredes has added that “in order for interested persons to prepare the documentation, it will be available on the ADL website: www.adl-torrevieja.es as of August 17, 2020.”

“Although the submission deadline is expected to open in the last week of August 2020,” he concluded.

Those interested in applying for the grant are kindly requested to read the terms and conditions in their entirety.
