Councillor for commerce Javier Garcia Lara visiting Fuengirola Market
IT takes teams of volunteers, Local Police and municipal inspectors ensure the smooth running of each market day in Fuengirola, held on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Councillor for Commerce, Javier García Lara, pointed out on a recent visit, “Fuengirola Mayor Ana Mula, has always been at the side of all the business sectors of the town and, also of course, with the street vendors, who have been seriously affected by the crisis derived from COVID-19”
He added “From the Town Hall, we have always been in direct contact with this sector, through the street vendors association, and we decided that the markets would be reopened at 50 per cent in Phase 3. Currently, these spaces work 100 per cent, and all the measures to prevent the spread of the virus are fulfilled: maintenance of social distance, use of hydroalcoholic gel and the obligation to wear a mask.”
