Drive-in theatre success

THE First Deputy Mayor of Velez-Malaga and Councillor for Tourism, Jesús Pérez Atencia, spoke of the success of the Velez-Malaga drive-in movie theatre, an initiative launched by the Tourism delegation, in which some 2000 people have enjoyed the screenings.
Atencia explained, “this event has been a boost to the economy of the town in these difficult times.”
“The crisis of COVID-19 has forced a twist on tourism work, and we thought this was a good way to organise an event for people, in which everyone felt safe, and guaranteed the health of the attendees and the respect of sanitary regulations, ” said the Councillor for Tourism.
A selection of films has been projected that the public could enjoy from their car completely free of charge. The event was attended by security and organisation personnel, who at all times ensured the correct conduct of the activity.
