Murcia residents and tourists are set to experience another month of cultural events as the Department of Culture and Recovery of Heritage has decided to extend their cultural program after a successful summer.

50 CULTURAL activities will fill the month of September, with the City Council offering an intense program of music, theatre, cinema and literature.
The Councillor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, has indicated that “we offer a different plan for Murcia, in this special month for the city, since during the summer we have shown that safe cultural activities can be organised”.
Murcia’s program over the summer saw more than 300 artists and 1,500 technicians maintain their activities whilst following Covid-19 safety measures.
The success of the summer events, which were participated by more than 24,000 attendees, has inspired this month’s continuation.
The new program, made up of about 50 different events, kicks-off on Thursday, September 3 with the ringing of the bell from Puente de los Peligros, at 7.30pm, as would have happened when the Virgen de la Fuensanta passed.
The program of events will run until September 30.
