Andalucia has experienced an alarming rise in positive Covid-19 cases in the past 24-hours, according to data from the Junta de Andalucia.

NEW data published on the Junta de Andalucia website shows that Andalucia has recorded an alarming 1,536 Covid-19 cases in the past 24-hours.

This number is almost double the number registered yesterday, Monday September 21 and shows that the government is struggling to keep things under control in the region, despite further restrictions.

According to the Junta de Andalucia, the figure shows that this is the second-highest daily increase since the start of the pandemic.

Malaga continues to be the most impacted, registering 547 cases in the past 24 hours.

Sevilla has registered 407 cases.

Malaga and Sevilla have also registered four and three deaths, respectively, in the last 24-hours and there has been an increase in patients in hospitals in Andalucia with more than 1,024 people.

This is an increase of 86 since this time a week ago.

A total of 136 are in intensive care which is an increase of 16 from last week.
