Breaking News – Scots banned from visiting other households

SCOTS will be banned from visiting other households from Wednesday, September 22, to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Nicola Sturgeon has issued a national ban on households mixing indoors, and it will come in from tomorrow, which previously had been in place in parts of the country.

The move will certainly up the pressure on Downing Street, as it goes above and beyond the new rules Boris Johnson announced for England.

The Scottish First Minister explained, “She had to go further as she had been advised that Mr Johnson’s plan on its own will not be sufficient to bring the numbers down”.

Those living alone, couples not living together, those who need childcare and tradespeople will be exempt from the measures.

The rules only apply to meeting in people’s homes, with regulations for outdoor and public indoor meetings remaining the same.

The measures will be reviewed in three weeks time.
