Massive bid for Sancho rejected which sees him stay at Dortmund… for now!

Manchester United had their massive bid for Jadon Sancho rejected which sees the talented young player stay at Borussia Dortmund… for now!

A BID of around £91.3m (€100m) from the Old Trafford club was rejected by the German side as they desperately try to keep hold of their young talent.

United are looking to the land the former Manchester City youth player before the Premier League transfer deadline on October 5.

Dortmund have valued the 20-year-old at £108m, however there is still time for Solskjær’s team to match that.

Sancho hasn’t travelled with the rest of the Dortmund squad, which take on Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup tonight, leading to speculation that the England International was on the move.

However, it has been reported that did not fly out with the squad because of a “respiratory infection”, although he has tested negative for Covid-19.

This latest setback in the Sancho saga for Solskjær will be disappointing as he is a big fan of the youngster and the team could do with a big lift following a slow start to this season’s campaign.

It appears though that United are not going to give up despite the Dortmund hierarchy stating on several occasions that if anyone looking to sign Sancho, at the right price, would have to do so before August 10.

United lie in 14th position after one win and one loss in their opening two Premier League games and have only purchased one player during the window, with Donny van de Beek joining from Ajax.
