Explore Spain’s beautiful beaches before winter

EXPLORE Spain’s beautiful beaches before winter sets in. With the forecast predicting a milder autumn than usual, there’s still plenty of time for a splash before winter sets in.

We’re spoiled for choice here in Spain when it comes to our stunning Mediterranean beaches, but here’s a short round-up of destinations to sample.

Málaga – Peñon del Cuervo

With a rocky outcrop for daredevil divers, diverse marine life and the Candado Beach Club for a spot of lunch, this beach has something for everyone. It is located on Malaga city’s east side.

El Portús, Cartagena – La Losa

If diving is your passion, La Losa is the place for you. Divided into a series of sheltered coves, the beach boasts a plethora of marine life to explore.

Teulada-Moraira, Alicante – El Portet

El Portet was once a harbour for ships coming from Morocco. Today it is a stunning stretch of sandy beach in a secluded spot, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Alcossebre-Alcalà, Castellón – Carregador

This location gives you the best of both worlds. If you like a secluded spot, head for the southernmost tip via Roquer Martí. Alternatively, the port area offers lots of bars and restaurants. Whichever you choose, you’ll be guaranteed stunning, uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean as planning only allows buildings to be 3 stories high.
