An establishment in Guardamar del Segura has been fined €100,000 for repeated offences including sales of alcohol to under-age customers. Will they be shut down?

THE latest complaint against an establishment in Guardamar del Segura was considered to be serious enough to warrant a huge €100,000 fine, although the business has repeatedly broken the law.
The large fine is believed to be because the establishment failed to follow new Covid-19 rules restricting the sale of alcohol after 10pm.
The business has previously paid fines totalling €15,000 over the last three years for repeated offences due to sales of alcohol to under-age customers.
Joint surveillance carried out by Local Police and the Guardia Civil has proven to be successful against crimes that have the potential to cause harm to youngsters and also go against Covid-19 restrictions.
