London faces Tier Two Lockdown

LONDON faces Tier Two Lockdown as Johnson prepares to announce that households will no longer be allowed to mix indoors.

Boris Johnson is expected to announce the new restrictions at 3:30pm today, which will come into effect within days, and again in a speech at 6pm.

Under Tier Two, people from different households will be prohibited from mixing indoors, but up to 6 people from different homes will still be able to meet outdoors. Sources report that Health chiefs are also considering limiting travel to ‘essential trips’.

Bars, restaurants and gyms will remain open but will still have to adhere to the 10pm curfew.

With the numbers in hospitals now higher than in March, according to medical director Stephen Powis, officials believe these measures are vital to curtail the spread in London.
