A DRUNKEN mum-of-six who spat on train passengers has been sentenced to 16 weeks in prison.
31-year-old Leanne Williams had apparently downed three bottles of vodka at a celebration for her partner’s birthday before boarding the Merseyrail train in June, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Williams spat on passenger Christopher James’ shirt after he asked her to move to observe social distancing guidance.
She then pretended to be pregnant, saying: “I can’t believe I have to move, I’m pregnant”.
The drunken young woman, who has a previous convicted for a racially aggravated offence, was arrest by officers when she departed the train at the Birkenhead Central stop.
The mum-of-six was “unable to recall what happened” but “wanted to apologise for her behaviour”.
Williams, who clearly needs to get her alcohol problem under control, was turned away from one court for being too drunk before finally pleading guilty in another.
Her defense lawyer Sarah Fergusson said she is a “young lady who’s struggling with drink”.
District Judge Hatton imposed an immediate prison term as he did not believe Williams was in a position to comply with community orders, ordering her to serve 16 weeks in prison.
