THERE is a clear and steady growth in the number of positive infections of Covid-19 in Gibraltar with 130 cases identified on October 26 of which just two are visitors and the rest local residents.
This is an increase of 11 more positives over the previous day although there have been five new recoveries and a further 833 people are in self-isolation as children seem to be the latest target for coronavirus.
Since the outbreak started, there have been 641 people in Gibraltar identified as catching the virus but there have been 500 recoveries and no fatalities on the Rock although one cross-border worker died in Spain.
Currently there are eight cases in the Covid-19 ward and a further five being cared for in Elderly Residential Services but at the moment no-one is deemed ill enough to be placed in the Critical Care Unit.
There are no new policies announced as yet although following a return to online Cabinet Meetings, the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo is due to give details of Government future plans tomorrow October 27 and it appears that cross border workers returning to Spain may have sufficient reason due to work to break the curfew.
