The Queen is voted UK’s most popular Monarch for 2020.

The Queen has been voted Brit’s favourite member of the Royal Family, according to a YouGov Royal favourability tracker which polled fans throughout January, March and October.

When the public were asked if they had a positive opinion of the Queen, 83% said they did, up on the March figure of 79%, while 80% felt favourably about William and 76% about Kate – an increase for the couple.

On the flip side, support for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is in rapid decline. Harry’s positive rating was 71% in October last year, but fell to 55% days after his announcement that he planned to take a step-back from Royal life, while Meghan’s rating also dropped, from 55% to 38%, over the same period.

Similarly, Prince Andrew’s popularity continues to plummet in the wake of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, in spite of his removal from public appearances in recent months.

The poll found 67% of those questioned believed the UK should continue with a constitutional monarchy, while 21% wanted an elected head of state.
