FIFTY-SIX U3A Marina Baixa members met at Alfaz’s Casa de Cultura for only their second General Meeting since February.
Following the latest guidelines, two Committee members were at the entrance to greet members, letting them in two at a time to have their temperature checked.
They were then asked to hand-sanitise and wear their masks at all times whilst in the building.
In the foyer there were desks for signing in, collecting membership cards and booking Wine and Dine events, plus the Charity Raffle ladies, all well-distanced and limited to two people at a desk at any one time.
Following the meeting, Gary Bell gave a  humorous talk about moving house 11 times with his wife Susan in the Leeds area, “God’s own country”, plus twice in Spain during the 50 years of their married life. Several members then went on to an excellent lunch in La Nucia.
Readers who have not heard of the U3A Marina Baixa and would like to join, can be assured of a very warm welcome.
