Mystery Lottery Winner Claims £79.3 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

Mystery lottery winner claims £79,300,000 Euromillions jackpot amid speculation of a ‘no show’.

The unknown ticket-holder will have to go through the process of validation before the money is paid out. There will be no information on whether it is an individual or syndicate winner, or even where the ticket was purchased- that is unless the person or syndicate decides to go public. The €88.8m (£79.3m), marks the biggest win of the year so far.

Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery for Camelot, Andy Carter, said: “It is fantastic news that a lucky ticket-holder has now claimed this enormous prize. We will now focus on supporting the ticket-holder through the process.”

Despite the huge sum won by a UK ticket holder, the win is not close to being the nation’s biggest. In October last year, one very lucky player won €190 (£170) million but their identity has never been revealed.
