‘BABY SHARK’ becomes the most-watched YouTube video topping Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s hit song, Despacito.

Baby Shark Dance, the English-language version of the South Korean song, has been viewed more than seven billion times and has now become YouTube’s most-watched video, as of Monday, November 2 at 4am.
The catchy and addictive melody supported by a hypnotically colourful video, that has been ingrained into every parent’s brain, was first uploaded to YouTube in June 2016 and is actually a remix of an American campfire song by the Seoul-based production company Pinkfong.
The song’s success on YouTube also paved the way onto the global music charts when it reached number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in January 2019.
Two of the last four tracks to hold the title of most-watched YouTube video have been from South Korean, with rapper Psy’s megahit Gangnam Style holding the title for more than three years.
Try your best not to sing the song after you read this article!
