The second tremor occurred in the sea off the coast of Torrevieja, close to the epicentre of the first one- it was recorded at 04.07 and measured 2.5 on the magnitude scale. No damage has been reported in the area of seismic activity. An IGN report stated: Minor mag. 2.5 earthquake – 8.2 km NE of Torrevieja, Spain, on Monday, 2 Nov 4.07 am.
When asked on social media if anyone had felt the tremours, residents on the area quickly responded on Facebook. One user, Pamela J, said: “Yes one just b4 9 pm and another in the night – scary”
Another, Michael E, said: “The earth did not move for me here in Los Montesinos (ALICANTE) (La Herrada) although it may have done for others in many various ways – lots of these small tremors are much better than one big one so the local seismologists say .. !!”
