Special award for Spanish Legion as it celebrates centenary

The Legion parades the Cross Credit: Malaga Council

MALAGA City Council has approved the award of the Malaga Medal and the nomination of the Spanish Legion as the Chosen Sons of Malaga to coincide with its Centenary Celebrations.

This honour has been awarded to the Legion in recognition of the many occasions over the years when its men have assisted the city during problem times such as widespread flooding and more recently the Covid-19 situation.

Members of the Legion are also always on hand to take part in the Easter Passion parades.
