No visitors after midnight in Madrid

MADRID has updated its restriction measures to advise that homes should have no visitors after midnight

The regional government in Madrid has backtracked after previously advising that meetings of up to six people were allowed in a home, as long as no one left before the end of the curfew at 6am. Now, on Friday, November 6, the government has advised that only those cohabiting should be in the house after midnight.

Government officials have also reiterated the importance of ventilation, recommending that establishments increase their terrace areas, stating that “the more exterior, the better”. They have also urged establishments to install CO2 meters, advising that they have not ruled out making this mandatory.

According to data provided by the Deputy Minister of Public Health and Covid Plan, Antonio Zapatero, Madrid has seen a downward curve in the rate of infections since the measures were introduced.

He advised that the restrictions would remain in place in the coming weeks, since they appear to be helping to bend the contagion curve.
