POLICIA Nacional has arrested a notorious vehicle-related crime gang who operated across Costa Blanca, and the whole of Spain.
In total eleven people were arrested, consisting of nine men and two women aged between 21 and 65, for their alleged involvement in the crimes of illicit vehicle traffic and belonging to a criminal organisation, following raids carried out in Malaga, Huelva, Algeciras, Jaén, Alicante and Murcia, as well as several towns in Catalonia.
Officers were able to recover 29 stolen vehicles, SUVs, vans and high-end cars, which according to investigators, were destined to be used for drug trafficking.

Also seized in the raids were: 50 number plates without stamping, two counterfeit number plates, 100 alphanumeric metal pieces to stamp, 34 blank keys of different vehicle brands, nine electronic and mechanical opening and starting devices, a radio frequency detector, Balaclava, gloves, 20 9mm cartridges and various documentation.
A number of those arrested had active warrants open for their arrest, including one wanted on suspicion of murder.
