A woman has been given a two-year suspended sentence after luring her ex-boyfriend to a remote area before trying to castrate him with a 5-inch knife.

The victim managed to snatch the knife from her hand but she pulled another one and cut his face and head, needing stitches, reports Diario de Mallorca.
He ran to a nearby bar and called the police.
The defendant admitted assault and battery and was given a two-year suspended sentence. She was also ordered to stay away from her ex-partner for two years.
