Driver caught driving a car with number plates written in permanent marker

A DRIVER has been caught driving a car with its number plates written in permanent marker pen, whilst police in Lugo also catch a total of five cars without mandatory insurance.

Over the course of the weekend, the surveillance operations carried out in Lugo successfully removed two drunk drivers as well as the car with the drawn on number plates and those without insurance.

The driver of the car with the permanent marker plates was fined €1,500 and had their car towed to the municipal depot and the two drunk drivers were each fined €1,000 and were given six points on their driving license.
