THE Department of Social Services in Andraxt has launched a campaign to collect toys under the headline ‘For Christmas no child without toys: Give a toy, give a smile’ and local residents are invited to deliver the toys to their office between 9am and 1pm until December 4.
They don’t have to be new toys as long as they are in good condition and this is a way to help others whilst at the same time recycling toys that your own children may have grown too old to play with.
It’s not just about giving, but also, it’s a way of explaining to your own children how special they are to be prepared to share a loved plaything with a child that is not so fortunate as they are.
