FOUR minors have been arrested by the National Police in Teruel for gang-raping a girl who is also under 18-years-old.

The officers have detained four minors in Teruel, a town in the Aragon region of eastern Spain, after the young girl went to the Obispo Polanco hospital on Wednesday, December 2.

When she was examined she reported that she been the victim of a sexual assault and after giving details to officers, the four suspects were arrested. 

After being interrogated at the Teruel Police Station, the minors have been placed at the disposal of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for crimes committed by persons under the age of 18.

Police sources have indicated that this is a case where information will be limited to the press and public in order to preserve the identity of the victim, and that of her alleged attackers, since they are minors and are protected by special legislation on criminal matters.
