Penis Sculpture Stolen from Bavarian Alps

A 6-foot wooden penis sculpture has been stolen from the Bavarian Alps

First we had mysterious monoliths appearing in deserts. Now we have a disappearing penis in the Alps. The wooden piece of art, which stands at nearly 6 foot tall, went missing some time last week, and police said on Tuesday, December 2 that they are launching an investigation into the incident.

Some wood shavings and a piece of stump are all that remains of the giant phallus, which appeared on the Gruenten mountain in the Bavarian Alps years ago, just as mysteriously as it has now disappeared.

Bavarian police spokesman Holger Stabik said: ‘This might not be our leading hypothesis, but it could be the owner who sawed it off to get it back.’

The structure, described as a ‘cultural monument’ on Google Maps, made headlines in Germany earlier this year when it fell down off its pedestal and had to be ‘re-erected.’
