EYES in the sky become a new feature as traffic cameras appear all over Almeria City.
The cameras are aimed at controlling the traffic in the city and controlling who enters streets with restricted access. The cameras will view areas such as the Paseo de Almería, Calle Jovellanos and Avenida del Mediterráneo.
So far around 60 per cent of the planned cameras have been installed, with most set to control traffic flow. There are a limited number set to control restricted access areas, but they will be advanced. In the future they will be able to track vehicles loading and unloading and how long they remain in an area for.
