Rafa Nadal donates 3,000 kilos of food

SPANISH tennis player Rafa Nadal has donated three tonnes of food for families in need in Mallorca.

Through the foundation in his name, Fundacion Rafa Nadal, he has donated the goods to the Mallorca Food Bank, of which he is the honorary ambassador. The donation, was made to “contribute towards helping families who are in a precarious situation so they can fulfil a basic need which is eating”, a press release from the foundation explains.
Nadal also shared a message on social media, to wish everyone a Happy Christmas, saying that 2020 has been a hard year for everyone and asking his followers to take care in the current situation caused by the coronavirus.
“This year that we are saying goodbye to has been, without a doubt, one to forget” he said, “It is the hardest year we have lived through, at least that I can remember, and I want to send all my support and my condolences to all those people who have lost a loved one”. He ended up by saying “let’s trust that little by little things will get better”.
The Rafa Nadal Foundation is also selling calendars to raise money, they have photos of Rafa throughout his career.
