SPAIN will receive the first doses of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine within seven to ten days

Spain’s minister for Health Salvador Illa announced on Thursday, January 7 that the Moderna vaccine could be rolled out in the country as early as next week. The minister informed the Government that following European Medicines Agency approval of the jab, the vaccine company has agreed to deliver 600,000 doses to Spain in the next six weeks, with the first doses expected on Spanish shores within 7 to 10 days.

The minister went on to say that as soon as the vials of Moderna arrive they will immediately be incorporated into the Pfizer vaccine campaign, which should go a long way to speeding up the vaccine campaign. The government has come under fire for the slow progress being made in delivering the jab, with most regions falling far short of the start of year projections.
