PIERS MORGAN compares Harry and Meghan to Kim Jong-un after watching Oprah commercial

Controversial presenter Piers Morgan is not one to hold back and he certainly let loose on Monday morning’s episode of Good Morning Britain as he and fellow host Susanna Reid came head to head over the Duke and Duchess on March 1. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are rarely out of the headlines lately, but the release of a sneak-peek into their Oprah interview has set the internet alight.

Piers began the show by lambasting the pair for agreeing to such sensational interviews when they have often bemoaned their lack of privacy, with Susannah arguing that the couple have simply asked for an end to the ‘toxic negativity’ of media portrayal.

Never once to mince his words, Piers retorted: ‘They only want positive media coverage, who else wants that? Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un – they only want positive media coverage, don’t they?

‘That’s not how it works in a democracy!’

Susanna fiercely defended Harry and Meghan, insisting that they are perfectly entitled to want some control over what appears in the media, and laughed in astonishment when Piers compared them to Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Not to be deterred, Piers bit back, exclaiming: ‘It can’t just be me who sees Prince Harry on top of an open-top bus, it doesn’t get more embarrassing than this – being on an open-top bus in Hollywood, banging on about privacy.’
