EL EJIDO town hall’s suppliers are amongst the most promptly-paid in both Andalucia and Spain.
According to recently-published figures from Spain’s Treasury Ministry (Hacienda), El Ejido ranks sixth in the list of Andalucia’s town and city halls that settle suppliers’ bills within 30 days.  Nationally, it is placed 23rd.
El Ejido’s Finance councillor Jose Francisco Rivera pointed out that the town has consistently maintained its position amongst the big municipalities that do not make small and medium businesses, or the self-employed, wait for payment.
“This is the outcome of good management over recent years,” Rivera said.
“Our economic policies incorporate serious mechanisms that control spending, enabling us to balance our books and meet our financial commitments while not overlooking investments.”
