MÁLAGA Province Shows A Slight Drop In Infections This Week With No Deaths On Friday

In the week to today Friday 9, Málaga has shown a slight drop in the number of active coronavirus infections, with 245 on Friday, which is 87 less than Thursday, and after 27 confirmed deaths in the previous three days, on Friday, no deaths were reported.
The drop in positive cases is in direct contrast to the number of hospital admissions that Málaga shows, after going down on Thursday to 165, on Friday saw the total rise to 172, seven case more. Out of the 172, 34 are in the ICU, as opposed to 29 on Thursday.

There is a weekly high in the number of patients reported ‘cured’, standing at 748, which brings the total to 76,170 cured of the virus in Málaga province since the pandemic started.

The Consejería de Salud y Familias, regarding schools, has reported the total closure of one school, and the partial closure of seven classrooms, after eight partial reopenings.
Andalucía as a whole has a total of 2,249 infections reported in the past 24 hours, of which, 488 are in the province of Sevilla, and nine coronavirus deaths confirmed in the autonomous community, with the provinces of Almería and Cádiz confirming three each, as reported by laopiniondemalaga.es.
