Motril Live – a month of open air concerts.

A SUMMER of live open-air concerts, ‘Motril en Vivo’, will take place in the Plaza de Toros between July 16 and August 15 with artists such as India Martínez Miguel Poveda, Pablo Milanés and Pablo López set to take to the stage.

Mayor of Motril, Luisa María García Chamorro, said she is excited at the prospect of a musical summer.

“The location chosen for the series of concerts will allow, due to its size, a spectacular transformation, with careful decoration and in which the safety of the public is paramount.”

“There has not been a single cultural or other activity held in the municipality, that has not scrupulously complied with the security measures imposed by the current health situation and this will be the case in the coming months.

García Chamorro thanked Motril en Vivo organisers, Edificarte Eventos SL and Grupo Rosetas, for making possible “such a high-profile open-air event that will take place over a month with an attractive line-up for the whole municipality to enjoy”.

Councillor for Youth, Parties and Events, Alejandro Vilar Moreno, added: “This private initiative offers an authentic leisure alternative that will enhance the summer nights in Motril and allow us all to enjoy music again.

Javier Vázquez Selvático, Director-Promoter of Edificarte Eventos, said the month-long event “will provide a good dose of positivism for Motril” and insisted that “it will be, above all, a safe event”.

During the concerts, the bullring restaurant areas and bars will also be open so “the public can enjoy a complete experience”.
